If you want to get started using OpenOffice.org the first thing you'll need to do is download and install it. Since OpenOffice.org is a completely

- You can download the program from OpenOffice.org.
- Once downloaded, double-click on the .exe file to begin the install.
- Click Run.
- Click Next. Accept the default location or change it.
- Click Unpack.
- Click Next and enter your name and company. Click Next.
- Select Complete setup or you can choose to do a Custom install. Make your selection and click Next.
- You can choose whether to have an icon on the desktop or not. Now click Install.
- When the install is done click Finish.
- If you double-click on the program icon it will open and show you the welcome screen.
- Put in your name and initials and select whether you want the program to search for updates automatically.
- Decide if you want to register now, later or never.
- You're now ready to begin using OpenOffice.org!
