, we'll show you how in this episode. We show youhow to install Ubuntu
onto your PC over this episode and the next and show youhow to partition your hard drive

Download Ubuntu 32-bit
Download Ubuntu 64-bit
- Place the LiveCD or DVD that we created earlier in the drive and reboot your computer.
- Ubuntu will start the install process.
- Select your language and click on Install Ubuntu.
- It shows your time zone. If it's not correct you can set it from the list of cities or by clicking on the map. Click Forward.
- Either use the suggested settings for Keyboard Layout or pick your own and then click Forward.
- Now you need to partition the disk. Find the free space where Windows does not reside and select that.
- Ubuntu will prepare the partition. Click Forward.
- Create your user account. You can enter your full name if you wish.
- Enter your user name and it must be all lower case.
- Also, create a password and type it in twice. Make sure to use a secure password that you can remember.
- Click Forward then click Install and Ubuntu will begin to install the operating system, tools, utilities and more.
