If you followed along with us in episode two, you should have an
Ubuntu LiveCD
ready to install on your computer. Using this LiveCD is a great way totry Ubuntu
to see if it's right for you without actually making any change to your computer. We'll show youhow to use a LiveCD
to try Ubuntu in this episode.Download this episode now

Download Ubuntu 32-bit
Download Ubuntu 64-bit
- Put the disc you created into your drive and reboot your computer.
- Your computer should show the Ubuntu screen that lists some of your options.
- If it does not load the CD/DVD, see this tutorial on changing boot order.
- You should see an Ubuntu image and the phrase "Try Ubuntu without any changes to your computer."
- Press Enter and Ubuntu will load.
- It will detect your network and you can surf the Internet.
- Try out the applications, utilities and games.
- When you're done, just remove the disc and reboot.
