Show Notes

-

Jump lists

are a new feature in Windows 7.

- Previous versions of Windows had one, centralized "Recent Documents" folder in the Start menu.

- Jump lists give you the ability to have recent documents for all your programs.

- Jump lists keep track of files, documents, Web sites and so on.

- To access a programs Jump list just right-click on the programs icon and the list will appear.

- The list is dynamic so the contents will change to reflect your most recent activity.

- Jump lists are a cool way to quickly access material you use often and right from the programs icon. No more going over to the Start menu and looking in Recent Documents.

- Recent Documents is gone from the Start menu because Jump lists make it antiquated.
