- Gmail comes with some standard keyboard shortcuts.

- In Gmail, you can bring up the keyboard shortcuts simply by press the ? key.

- For the most part, the keyboard shortcuts are mnemonic. Mnemonics are meant to help make things easier to remember.

- For example, "f" is Forward, "r" is Reply, "a" is Reply To All.

- When you first start using keyboard shortcuts, it's often to print out the list so you have it for quick reference.

- In Gmail, click on Setting and then on Labs.

- Scroll down a bit and you'll find Custom Keyboard Shortcuts.

- If you enable this Labs feature, you can customize the shortcuts to suit yourself.

- Using keyboard shortcuts make your use of Gmail faster and more efficient.
