Show Notes

- If you find your Kinect is inaccurate or sluggish, you may want to go to the Kinect Tuner. You can access this by using an Xbox controller and pressing the Xbox button.

- From here, you can access the Tracking, Audio and Calibration menus.

- In Tracking, you will be asked if you want to

reposition your Kinect

Sensor and when you do, the Kinect will adjust its viewing angle. It will also test body tracking and let you know if it has trouble tracking your movements.

- In Audio the Kinect will test the background noise, speaker volume and

microphone calibration

.

- Under Calibration you'll be asked to use a card to calibrate your Kinect Sensor. These cards are included with each game and will need to be scanned multiple times from multiple positions in order to correctly calibrate your Kinect.

- To set up a Kinect ID go to the Kinect Hub, flip left and select Kinect ID.

- Kinect ID uses facial recognition to recognize when players enter the play space. Continue through the steps and you'll be asked to move around the room.

- Follow the on-screen directions and move from place to place while posing in different positions. You'll want to do this a few times in different lighting conditions in order to get the most out of Kinect ID.

- Also, you can (and should) clean your Kinect sensors of any dirt and gunk using a soft cloth to make sure that they can see properly.
