Make a Mac Program Start When Your Mac Starts

Some Mac programs give you an easy way to make them start when you login. You just right-click on the program in the Dock and select Open at Login. With other programs however, you don't have that option. When that's the case there's still a way to have the program you want automatically start. Here's how.

- On your Mac double-click on Finder.

- Double-click on Applications in the Sidebar.

- Now double-click on System Preferences.

- Double-click on Accounts and select a user.

- With the user selected click on the Login Items tab.

- Now go into the Application folder and drag the program you want to have automatically start and drop it in the window.

- Find the program and make sure it's checked.

- That program will now start every time your Mac does.
