easiest ways to speed up your computer boot-up

is to control which programs start when your computer does. In Ubuntu, it's easy to

change start-up items

- In Ubuntu click on System, then on Preferences, and then on

Startup Applications

.

- You can clearly see what programs are loading when Ubuntu starts.

- To disable a program from starting just uncheck the box next to it.

- That will leave the program there for you to enable again at a later time.

- If you wish you can remove a program completely.

- At the same time you can Add programs that you want to start each time Ubuntu starts.
