Spam or other junk mail
is the bane of e-mail users everywhere. It seems that spammers never tire of trying to find new ways to infiltrate your inbox. Thunderbird quickly learns what is and what is not spam to make sure you're not bothered by as much of this email annoyance.Download this episode now

Download Thunderbird and follow along with our series
- In Thunderbird click on Tools and move down to where it says Run Junk Mail Controls on Folder.
- Thunderbird will bring up a dialog telling you how you need to train it.
- When Thunderbird thinks something is junk mail it put the flame icon next to it.
- If the message is junk mail you can simply delete it. Thunderbird has already noted the email.
- If the message tagged as junk is not junk mail simply click the button that says This is Not Junk Mail.
- Thunderbird will quickly learn what is and isn't junk mail.
- You can also highlight a message, right-click and find the Mark options As Junk and As Not Junk.
