- Click here to download Tasker. It's also available in the Android Market and has a 14-day trial.

- Tasker can save you power on your Android by changing settings to save power based on your criteria.

- In our example, we use a profile called Face Down.

- This particular profile turns off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. It also turns brightness to its lowest setting.

- This profile also turns off system, notification and ringer volumes.

- With this profile, you can save power simply by turning your phone face down.

- You can configure other profiles to manage power based on other criteria, like if the phone is plugged in.

- You can also have Tasker tell you how much power you have left.
