Monitoring your financial trends in Quicken Online

Quicken Online

offers some powerful tools to see and monitor your

personal spending trends

. The default trends keep track of how much you spend and whether you're at risk of going into overdraft or running a personal financial deficit for the month. Get pie charts (who doesn't like pie charts?), graphs and raw data to easily see where you stand.

- Quicken Online Home Page

- Click on the Trends tabs in the top navigation bar.

- Click on Spending in the top-left to see how much you're spending.

- Mouse over a section of a graph to get detailed numbers.

- Click on an item to drill down deeper and understand what's what.

- See Total Income, Total Spend, Bottom Line and Average Spending per month to monitor your money out.

- You can sort by time in the top-right to get more detail and see what's going to happen over the next few months at current spending and income levels.

- Click on Categorize in the top-right to sort un-categorized transactions. Categorizing transactions gives you much more accurate data.

- Click on Spending, Income or Savings in the top-left to get data on these categories.
