Friday November 27, 2009

-

Managing your Waves

gives you much more control over finding what you need when you need it.

- In an open Wave, if you click on archive, then the Wave will no longer appear in your inbox. You can find an archived Wave by searching for it in your inbox search box or by clicking on the "all" option in your Wave inbox.

- Mute allows you to stop the wave from appearing in your inbox even after someone has updated to it. If you don't want to continue on with a conversation for a day and you want to keep your inbox uncluttered, just click on "mute" and when you're ready to participate again, search for the message and select "inbox" and it will be added back to your Wave inbox.

- You can create saved searches so that you can filter Waves. Click on the plus sign next to searches. Give your search a name, like the name of a project you're working on, and then enter in the terms that you would like Wave to look for and save. Next, you can choose to have searches that meet this criteria archived or marked as read.

- If you're performing a search from your Wave inbox you can also save it by clicking on "save search" in the lower right corner. Then just give it a name and continue like you did when creating a saved search.

- You can access these searches by clicking on the appropriate search terms under the "search" section of your Wave inbox.

-If you run into problems with Google Wave, click on the "help" link which is located at the top right corner of your Wave account. This will take you to the help section for all of Google Wave.
