iPad Calendar:

- To sync a calendar, you must first select the calendar under the Info tab in iTunes.

- The Calendar icon shows today's date.

- Select the view mode across the top of the screen: Day, Week, Month or List.

- In Day view, tap an event on the left to get details. Tap a day of the week to see that day or slide the bottom slider bar left or right to navigate days. Tap a month to slide to events for that month.

- In Week view, you'll see an overview of your events for the selected week.

- In Month view, you can see a brief of upcoming events. Tap a day then tap Day and you'll be taken to that day to view detail.

- List view gives an agenda view of upcoming events. Tap for details.

- Tap Calendars to view all or select calendars.

- At any time, tap Today to see today's events.

- Tap the + icon to add a new event. Fill in Title and Starts / Ends detail at least.

Contacts:

- View contacts on the left page and tap for details. Tap Edit to edit or Share to send a contact via email.

- Slide your finger or tap on a letter tab to zoom to contacts whose names start with that letter.

- Tap a phone number to copy to the clipboard or tap an address to view in the Maps application.

- At any time, tap the + icon to add a new contact.
