With Windows 7, Microsoft clearly payed a lot of attention to the way we interact with open application and other windows. Snap is a cool new feature in Windows 7 that makes it easy to manipulate open windows. Minimize, maximize, compare side-by-side and much more with the new Aero Snap features of Windows 7.

- It's handy for quickly sizing windows in a variety of ways.
- To have a window occupy one-half of the screen first click and hold the mouse cursor down on the title bar.
- Now drag the window to the side.
- You'll see half the screen become greyed out of filmy. Now let go and your window fills one side.
- You can do this on both sides of the screen.
- To get you window back to its original size just click on the title bar and pull down.
- To maximize a window just click on the title bar and drag it to the very top of the screen.
- You'll see the entire screen become greyed out. Let go and your window is full screen.
- Go back to normal size by clicking on the title bar and pulling down.
- If you want to turn a window into column here's how.
- Move the mouse cursor up to the top of the window until it becomes a double-ended arrow.
- Now drag the top of the screen up to the top. You'll see a greyed out portion below the window.
- Just let go and your window is now a column.
