The Google team are always cooking up new ideas. Tasks is a simple but effective new feature that was recently introduced to Gmail, Google's online email service. With Tasks, we can track a to-do lists within the Gmail window.

- Go to the Gmail homepage to sign in.
- Click on the Settings link in the top-right of the Gmail window.
- Select the Labs tab. This is where Google puts new features and anything interesting the team is working on.
- Click on the radio button to Enable Tasks, scroll down and select Save changes.
- Click on the Tasks link that appears in the left-hand navigation of Gmail.
- In the Tasks window that pops up in the bottom right, click on an empty space in the list to add a task.
- Checking or unchecking the box beside a task marks that task as completed or pending respectively.
- Click on the arrow icon within the Tasks window to pop-out your Tasks list in a new window.
