Pt. 4 of 5 | 5:36 |

How Do I use Kinect for Xbox 360

Tuesday December 28, 2010
In this episode, we'll show you

how to play Kinect games

and how to

play Kinect with two players

. If you know how to

use the Kinect Hub

, then you should have an easy time accessing the

in-game menus

of games like

Kinect Adventures

, which we demonstrate here. We'll also show you how to

access the Kinect Guide

, which acts like an

Xbox menu

button.

Show Notes

- Note that all

Kinect games

come in purple cases, say Kinect in the upper-right, and clearly display a purple icon that says Requires

Kinect Sensor

.

- Launch a Kinect game and you'll often see a series of Kinect hints while the game launches. Some may even give you a virtual play space that you can move around in to see how much room you need.

- In-game selections for Kinect games work the same way that selections on the Kinect Hub work. Just hover over an icon until the ring completes to make your selection.

- In the Kinect Adventures game, you can also change your avatar at the load screens. Just select Change Avatar and you can choose from default avatars or those found on your Xbox 360.

- Hold your hand at a 45-degree angle or walk away from the play area to pause the game. From there, you can access options or the Kinect Guide, which functions like the Xbox button on a controller.

- From this screen, you can select Friends, Achievements, the

Kinect Tuner

and more. You can also toggle chat over Kinect on and off.

- To play with two players, just have a second player walk into the play area. Only one person can use the pause menu at a time and that's whoever is closest to the Kinect. Just remember: no fighting in the house!
