- Knowing whether or not a website you're making a purchase on is safe and credible is extremely important.
- As an example, on Google Product search you can read reviews from the online stores that are selling the items that you're searching for.
- Another way to protect yourself is to read a websites privacy policy.
- Any website where you'll be making a purchase of any kind should have a privacy policy, and if they don't then we would advise against buying from them.
- You can usually find it by scrolling down to the bottom of the homepage.
- It's not always easy to find, but with a little looking, you should be able to find a privacy policy on almost any online store.
- Read through it so you'll know what happens to your information after you enter it in, like with your credit card number and address.
- You obviously don't want anyone else having those private details, so make sure you read through the policy if you really want to be sure that you're protected.
