- TaxCaster is a free tool that can forecast what you'll be getting back from your tax return.

- Enter your basic information such as whether you are married or not, spousal details (if applicable), ages, etc.

- On the following page, you will see that you can add your wages, other income, business income and so on.

- Once you are finished, you'll see a breakdown of your income, taxable income and more, and at the top you'll see your expected tax return and a meter indicating how good (or bad) your results will be.

- The app isn't 100 per cent accurate, but for a free application it's not a bad idea to have.
