There may be times when you'd like to surf the Web and not have "tracks" left behind. Say you're shopping for a special present for a loved one. You may not want them seeing that you were on certain Web pages. For times like these Internet Explorer 8 offers InPrivate Browsing. In this mode IE8 doesn't save cookies, history, temporary Internet files, and other such online tracks.

- InPrivate Browsing is a new feature in Internet Explorer 8.

- You can begin an InPrivate Browsing session in a number of ways:

  • Click on Safety and then InPrivate Browsing.

  • Click on Tools and then InPrivate Browsing.

  • Right-click on a tab, select New tab and on the tab that opens you can click on the Open InPrivate Browsing window.


- When you're in an InPrivate Browsing session you'll see a graphic at the beginning of the Address bar.

- InPrivate Browsing stops Internet Explorer 8 from saving cookies, history, temporary Internet files, and other such online tracks.

- To exit an InPrivate Browsing session just close the window.
