- You must have DirecTV for this to work and an account setup on the Web.
- You can access your account at DirecTV.
- You can find the DirecTV app in the Apple App Store and it's free.
- Tap on the icon.
- Now you need to login with your email address and password. Tap Send.
- Now you can Search for Shows, Browse by Channel or Browse by Date and Time. Make your selection.
- In this example we searched for "Lost." Type in what you want and tap Search.
- It will bring up search results. Pick the correct one.
- You'll see a summary of the show you picked. Be certain it's the right one.
- You can tap Record This Episode.
- You can also elect to Record The Series.
- You can select which receiver, if you have more than one, and set a priority level.
- You can also tell the DVR how long to keep the show.
- When you're satisfied, tap Record This Series.
- You should get a message that tells you that you were successful.
