- First, select the book that you want to read on your Kindle.

- At the bottom, some information is displayed. You'll see what percentage of the book you've read as well as what locations in the book you're viewing followed by the total number of locations.

- The Kindle uses locations rather than pages since you can change the size of text.

- Use the page forward and backward buttons on either side of the screen to navigate through the book.

- You can search through the book simply by typing or by going to the menu and selecting Search This Book.

- When you do a search, you will see the results of your search listed and you have the ability to jump to each location.

- To add a bookmark, go to the menu and click Add a Bookmark. You can delete these at a later time.

- Click View My Notes & Marks in the menu to see a list of your notes and bookmarks.

- If you're reading a book that you were reading on a different device, you can click Sync to Furthest Page Read and the Kindle will try to sync with your other devices and flip to the furthest page read.
