There are so many cool
applications on Facebook
that it's easy to forget the ones we downloaded last month or even last week. Your list of applications can quickly swell with unused apps and, although they don't take up hard drive space or local resources, all of these applications have access to your information. UPDATE: Facebook has begun rolling out new and simplified privacy settings for some users. Many of the tips in this series still directly apply however.
- If you've got Facebook applications that you don't use, you'll still be sharing your information with those applications.
- If you want to remove applications, just go to Settings then Application Settings.
- You'll see recently used applications first.
- If you go to show, you can click Authorized to see which applications you've authorized to have access to your information.
- Simply click on the X beside an application you want to remove to have it removed from your list.
- That application will no longer have access to your information.
