- The more you rely on your Android, the more you'll want to

protect your identity

and the passwords that you use for websites, social networking services and credit card purchases.

- To add a pattern lock, first go into your Settings, then Location and security.

- Tap the option that says Set unlock pattern and you'll be able to set a pattern that uses at least four positions to pattern lock your phone.

- Draw the pattern again and that pattern will be set.

- You can now set whether or not your phone requires a pattern to unlock and set other options like whether the pattern is visible while you draw it.

- There is a free app on Android Market called Unlock with WiFi Free.

- With this app, you can add a secure Wi-Fi location that will allow your Android to unlock without a password or pattern whenever you're connected to that network.
