Send SMS messages with Windows Live Messenger

Download the latest version of Windows Live Messenger and follow along with our tutorial series

- In Windows Live Messenger click on the phone icon to open up the SMS section.

- Select a contact and click OK.

- A message will appear to remind you that your recipient may have to pay charges for text messages. You can check the box to stop this message from appearing in the future and then click OK.

- Send an SMS to your recipient.

- The recipient will receive a message that says you are trying to message them from Windows Live Messenger.

- They will be told to reply with an "A" to accept or a "D" to deny your text messages.
