- On PlentyOfFish.com, when you're viewing someones profile, you can simply click on "message this person" and then type out a private message. It works just like regular email except it will go into their dating site message box.

- On Yahoo! Personals you can simply make sure that you're signed into your Yahoo! account and then click on "send a message" to the person you're interested in. You do need to make sure that you've created a profile on Yahoo! Personals before you can continue on to send the message.

- Be sure to use caution when messaging someone - don't give out too much personal information until you really get to know them.
