If you need to setup any email client you'll need to understand basic terms. This is an example using Outlook Express which comes with Windows. Here, we'll become familiar with email terms like IMAP and POP3 which you'll need to know in order to set up an email account in any email client.

- Open Outlook Express.
- Click Tools and select Accounts.
- Click the Mail tab and click Add, selecting Mail.
- Enter your name as you want it displayed.
- Enter your email address.
- Select the type of email server, POP or IMAP.
- Enter the Incoming (POP) server.
- Enter the Outgoing (SMTP) server and click Next.
- Enter the account name that's needed to login to the server.
- Enter the password and check Remember Password.
- If your server requires authentication check the box
- Click Next and Click Finish
- Click Tools and select Accounts.

Hi Toucows,
Your Link to dowmload free "Outlook Express" no longer works,
it returns a a 403 Error. Is this anotner Block from C-11 or is
it Big brother forcing users to upgrade to win 7 or the Microsoft
Mail - like it did to old MSN users ? Have a Good day...
