Once you've divided your

Google Voice contacts

into "Groups" you can

create unique voicemail greetings

for each group. That means you can set a

custom voicemail greeting

for your family, another for your friends and another for your colleagues.

- You can

record a unique greeting for each group

.

- Click on the General tab and by Voicemail Greet select New Custom Greeting.

- Click Add and Google Voice asks you to give the new greeting a name.

- Google calls the phone and prompts you to record your message.

- Record your message and then press # when you're done.

- Google Voice plays back your message to see if it's okay.

- If it is you press 1, if not you press 2 to record it over.

- When you've pressed 1 you can hang up.

- Now you can click on the Groups tab.

- Select the group you recorded the message for and assign it to that group.

- Click Save and you're done.
