What is Twitter? Twitter is a free service that allows you to communicate with friends, family, and even co-workers about your day to day experiences and activities.

Twitter gives you a place to answer one simple question, "What are you doing?"

This Twitter tutorial series will help you better understand how to twitter.

Before you can being to use the site you need to sign up for a Twitter account. We'll help you sign up for your account with a step-by-step guide.

- Click on the Get started-Join button located at the bottom of the Twitter page to sign up for your free account.

- Choose a unique user name. You'll see if the name is available for use. If not, try again.

- Set a password and enter a valid email address.

- Fill out the "CAPTCHA" words so that Twitter knows you're human.

- Select whether or not you want to receive email updates from Twitter

- Finally, click on accept and the create my account.

- You're now the newest Twitterer!
