Molly McDonald kicks off a video tutorial series about planning your wedding online, where we'll learn about how to buy a wedding dress and send wedding invitations online, featuring an overview of The Knot and a walk-through of the signup process.

- The Knot online wedding planner is a service that gives you one place to plan your entire wedding.
- Everything from sending out save-the-date cards to finding your wedding dress can be done right from this site.
- There's a handy budget tool so you can be sure you're spending your money wisely, an easy to use guest list and RSVP system, and you can even create your own Wedding website to share your special day with friends and family.
- It's free to use but you need to sign up in order to really take advantage of all of the features.
- Click on Join Free and fill out the registration form.
- You'll need to fill out everything unless it says optional. If you're not sure of your wedding date, just be approximate.
- You'll need to add your address, but this is only used when you request to receive information in the mail.
- Select all of the things that are important to you for your wedding. You can choose as many as you like for the style of wedding you would like, your color scheme and other details that are important to you like religion and budget.
- Select your username and password and click on submit.
- You'll then need to click on a link in a verification email that will be sent to the email address you signed up with and then you'll be all set to start planning your wedding on The Knot.
