The recycle bin in Windows is a handy way to keep deleted files just in case they ever need to be brought back. That's why it's called the "recycle bin" as opposed to, say, the File Disintegrator. However, you may wish to bypass the recycle bin when deleting a file or, if you're really brave, turn off delete confirmation too.

Show Notes

To bypass the recycle bin

- Right click on the recycle bin.

- In the context menu that appears, select Properties.

- Check the box beside Do not move files to the Recycle Bin...

- Click OK.

To disable delete confirmation

- Uncheck the box beside Display delete confirmation dialog.

You can turn off both the recycle bin AND the delete confirmation dialog. However, if you make a mistake when deleting a file in the future, it's going to be difficult to recover.
