The whole idea behind iTunes is that it acts as your one-stop media library. All your music, movies, TV shows you've downloaded, iPhone apps you've grabbed, podcasts you subscribe to and more are all there. To avoid information overload, Molly McDonald has some practical tips for navigating your ever-growing iTunes library.

- In the Music section, you can view by Albums, Artists, Genres and Composers to narrow down what you're looking for.
- Clicking on any entry in the music library allows you to play all songs and albums under that category.
- Movies can be sorted by title or by genre.
- TV shows can be sorted by name, genre and new.
- Podcasts can be sorted by name, genre and new.
- Use the slider bar in the top-right of the iTunes window to resize album and box art and images.
- Selecting from the three options in the top-right beside the search bar, you can alter how you view your content.
