Starting a new Wave in Google Wave

Rather than composing and sending a new message, Google Wave works because it allows you to create a

new discussion header

and get many people in on the chat. As you type, they see what you're saying. As they type, you see what they're saying. It's more like a real conversation than static email.

show notes

- In order to

start a Wave

, click on "New Wave." You can either start typing a message and adding media into the wave or you can click on the plus sign and select people from your contacts to add into the wave.

- If you're adding a link to a video you'll have an option to embed it right into the Wave and your recipient will see it automatically, before you even click on "done."

- They'll see everything you type as you type it. If you delete something they'll see that as well. They can respond to you, and even if you're typing, you'll see their reply.

- You can use the "playback" button to play the conversation back in the order that it happened.
