Your Mac isn't your Mac until you've customized it. System Preferences is where you need to be in order to do that. We'll run you through where you go to make changes to your desktop wallpaper, to change your screen saver, set up printers, Bluetooth, your Internet connection and more.

Show Notes

- System Preferences on the Mac is the equivalent of the Windows Control Panel.

- To open your Mac's System Preferences, click on the Apple menu in the top left of your screen and choose System Preferences.

- The System Preferences window is divided into Personal, Hardware, Internet & Network, System and Other categories.

- Wherever you are in the System Preferences window, you can return to the main System Preferences screen by clicking on the Show All button in the top-left of the Preferences window.
