Show Notes

The HTC HD7 features one camera, located on the back, capable of 5MP still images or

720p videos

. You can access the camera by either going to the Camera application or by simply pressing the shutter button. This also works to wake up the HTC HD7 while it is in sleep mode. The first time that you start the camera your phone will ask you if you want to allow the camera to access your location. This is useful in

geotagging your photos

but you can deny this feature if you wish.

Once the camera is loaded up, your screen will display what the camera is seeing. The plus and minus buttons will either zoom in or zoom out respectively. Keep in mind that this is a digital zoom and will lower the quality of your photo the farther in you zoom. Switch between still photography and video by tapping the button in the upper right. Hit the shutter button to either take a picture or to start or stop recording video.

You'll notice that there is a vertical strip on the left side of the screen that shows a portion of the last shot image or video. This is how you

access your camera roll

. Just tap this and swipe your finger right to see the last photos and videos that you've shot. Swipe back over to the camera screen to resume shooting.

Tap the cog in the lower-right to access your

camera settings

. If you're in camera mode you can adjust your flash settings, change the scene mode, add effects or

change the resolution

. You can also adjust the metering mode for focus or the flicker adjustment for other screens in the shot. In video mode, you'll be able to change all of these options as well as whether auto focus is on.

When you want to

transfer your photos and videos

to your computer, just use the USB cable that came with the phone to plug in into the computer, then load up the Zune software that can be found at www.zune.net.
