Show Notes

- To get started you'll need to find the Camera application in your iPhone 4.

- Once the app is open you'll need to ensure that the camera is set to take still images rather than video. We'll cover video shooting in an upcoming series of How do I.

- At the top you'll see buttons to control flash and HDR functionality, while at the bottom you'll see a slider to control your camera's zoom.

- Keep in mind that the iPhone 4 camera uses digital zoom, not optical, so picture quality will degrade while zoomed in.

- To focus the camera on an object just tap on its location on-screen.

- You can switch between front and rear cameras by tapping the camera switch button in the upper-right. You should note that the front camera does not allow for zoom, flash or HDR shooting, however.

- You can also take pictures in either portrait or landscape and the buttons will be rearranged accordingly.
