Google Earth

you can control what you see on the Earth by turning layers on or off. You can also

control other aspects of the program

by using the View menu, which changes your world view. You can choose to see the surface of the ocean, get a map legend, see a latitude and longitude grid and even follow the sun as it makes its way across the sky.

Show Notes

- Get Google Earth.

- There are a number of configurable options available in the View menu.

- You can turn off the Sidebar and the Menu bar or turn them back on.

- If you wish you can tell Google Earth to go Fullscreen.

- You can also pick from different View sizes.

- Turn on the Status Bar to see longitude and latitude at the mouse cursor.

- Select Grid to put a grid over the entire Earth.

- If you turn on Overview Map a small global map appears in the lower left-hand corner.

- You can double click anywhere on the Overview Map and the earth will spin to find that location.

- Turn on Scale Legend to see a legend based on distance.

- You can also view the Sun, the Atmosphere and the Water Surface.

- Under the View options you can also elect to explore Earth, the Moon, Mars or the Stars.
