Safari 4.0 in the wild

Tuesday October 13, 2009
We all have certain sites that we visit over and over again. With

Safari 4.0

, a new feature puts your "

Top Sites

" front and center.

Top Sites

gives you a visual image of the sites you visit most. You can edit these sites, delete them, save them and move them around.

Show Notes

- You can go to

Top Sites

by clicking the buttons icon on the Bookmark Bar.

- The Top Sites view represents the sites you visit most often and those you've visited most recently.

- If the top of the page is turned back with a star present it indicates new content is present.

- To

manage your Top Sites

click the Edit button.

- You can click the X symbol to remove a site you don't want in your Top Sites.

- If you want a particular site to always stay you can click on the push-pin icon.

- To move a site to a particular location just left-click and drag it to where you want it.

- You can pick from small, medium, and large icons. As you might expect with small icons you can fit more in, with large icons you get fewer icons but more visible detail.

- With the exception of sites that you've pinned to the Top Sites page the other sites will reflect the sites you visit most.
