Tweak windows by editing Windows registry

- Sometimes you'll come into the Registry editor knowing exactly what location you're looking for.
- You'll have gotten instructions from a tutorial, a book, or some source on the Internet.
- In cases like that just navigate down through the Registry till you find the location you're looking for.
- Other times you'll need to search for something in the Registry.
- Click Edit and then Find. You can also press CTRL+F.
- In the search box type what you're searching for.
- You can check or uncheck the option to look at Keys, Values, and Data.
- You can also check the box to Match a whole string only.
- I recommend that in most cases you leave this option unchecked to get more results.
- When you find something you want to delete you can right-click and select delete.
- Or, you can press the Delete key and a dialog comes up asking if you're sure.
- Press Enter or click Yes.
- Remember to be careful you don't change anything you don't mean to.
- Press F3 to search again.
