- Click on System and Administration.

- Move down and click on Update Manager.

- The software that runs under Ubuntu is updated frequently. Here is where you'll find all the updates.

- Install them all or pick the ones you want.

- Click on Applications and select Ubuntu Software Center. Here, you can browse thousands of titles in a wide range of categories.

- You can also see what's installed already.

- Ubuntu Software Center offers lots of free software.

- We have selected a couple of choice downloads for you to look at.

- Google Chrome is one. Chrome is good because by turning on the Sync feature under Options, it loads all my bookmarks and even extensions.

- The other is Dropbox. Dropbox is a handy program that Dr. File Finder highly recommends.

- With Dropbox, you can drop a file onto your Ubuntu machine Dropbox and it will appear in every copy of Dropbox.
