Many applications, especially those from Google, function accurately on your Android phone when they know your location. By default, this is turned off because it's a privacy issue. Here's how you can turn it on.

- Tap on Settings and inside Settings, tap on Privacy.
- Under Privacy, tap on Use my location. The check mark will turn green.
- Now Google applications will work at peak efficiency when an application, like Maps, needs to work.
