Recently, some security vulnerabilities were found in Internet Explorer 7. Microsoft has since offered a patch for Internet Explorer. If your computer is not set to automatically get the latest updates to Windows, you'll need to manually update IE. Here's how to do just that.

- Click on Help and select About Internet Explorer.
- In the About Internet Explorer, look at the version number of your IE. If it's less than in our example (7.0.5730.13 as of Dec. 19, 2008) then you'll need to update ASAP.
- Click on Tools and choose Windows Update.
- Select Express and Windows Update will check for any available software updates.
- Once Windows Update returns its findings, make sure that "Security Update for Internet Explorer 7..." is included in the list and click on Install Updates. If the IE7 update isn't in your list, install the recommended updates, reboot and then run Windows Update again.
- Restart the computer and you're done!
