Copying and pasting
using yourAndroid phone
can save you large amounts of time and make sharing long or complicated URLs that much easier. However, the copy and paste functionality works a little bit differently depending on the app that you're using at the time. We'll show you how it works in this tutorial.Download this episode now

- In most situations, copying and pasting is as simple as tapping and holding over text that you want to copy.
- You'll see two handles appear and you'll be able to move either of these forward or back across the text. Once the text that you want to copy is highlighted, simply tap it to copy.
- To paste your selected text, simply tap and hold wherever you want to paste it. A menu will appear where you can select Paste to paste your text.
- In Gmail, it works slightly different. You'll need to tap and hold on text you want to copy until a cursor appears. Tap that again to be able to manipulate the handles and again to copy selected text.
- For URLs, simply tap and hold on a URL in the address bar and you'll be able to copy that URL. You can also tap and hold over linked text to copy the link.
- In a message you're composing, like an email, you get a few more options. You can choose to copy just a single word or copy all text.
