Setting up email on your Nexus One
- We suggest the Gmail app over the Email app and will focus on that.
- When first loading the Gmail app, you may be asked for your Google Account details.
- Tap the Menu softkey to open up options like Settings, Accounts and others.
- You can do all the standard Gmail stuff: archive, delete, label, reply, forward, star, etc.
- Tap an email to open and view it.
- Tap the Menu softkey to open up some message-specific options.
- Tap the Back softkey to return to the inbox view.
- Tap Settings to choose options like the notification behaviour, how often to check for new mail, to add a signature and so on.
- Tap the Phone icon to launch the dialer.
- You can view the Call log, Contacts and Favorites across the top.
Advanced dialling tip
- You can add access to things like a phone card for long distance calls or to access remote voicemail by hitting the menu key and adding pauses, etc.
