Show Notes

Download and install Filezilla

- With FileZilla open click File and then Site Manager.

- Click New and type in a name for the site.

- Type in a Host Name. This can be a URL, like www.mydomain.com or it
can be an IP address like 111.222.333.444.

- Use the File Transfer Protocol.

- Click normal and type in your username and password. This is
information you can obtain from your ISP (Internet Service Provider) or domain registrar.

- When you're ready click connect and you'll be connected to your host.

- On the left-hand side are the files on your computer, while the right-hand side shows the files on your Web server.

- To transfer a file simply highlight it on the left-hand side, right-click, select Upload and the file is uploaded.

- In nearly all FTP clients, including FileZilla, you can also click on a file, hold down the left mouse button, drag the file to the Web server side, and drop it in order to transfer it.
