UPDATE: Facebook has begun rolling out new and simplified privacy settings for some users. Many of the tips in this series still directly apply however.

- The Help Center in Facebook is where to go for privacy settings and information about Facebook's features.

- The Help Center is broken down into sections to make navigation simple.

- For example, if you wanted help setting up your profile you would click on Profile under Using Facebook.

- You will then be presented a list of common questions relating to that topic.

- You can also search for a topic if you don't see what you're looking for.

- By clicking on Added Applications on the left you can get help for specific applications.

- Clicking on Help Discussions will bring you to a list where you can pick a topic and then see questions and answers about that topic in a message board style.

- The Getting Started button will bring you to a page where you can find out how to do basic actions like adding friends.

- One of the best places to go for Privacy concerns is the Using Facebook page. There you will find options for both Privacy and Security.
