. The

Internet Explorer application

and the Maps application allow you to easily search the Internet for nearby locations and then

plot the quickest route

. We show you how to use them in this episode.

Show Notes

- You can access your Windows Phone 7 device's default browser by clicking Internet Explorer. While IE is the default, there are other browsers that can be found on the Marketplace.

- You'll be brought to your home page.

- At the bottom, press the star icon with the + sign on it to add favorites and the other star icon to access your favorites. The last button allows you to view your tabs.

- When adding favorites, you'll be asked to enter a title and URL.

- Tap the address bar at the top to enter a URL. The button to the left of the URL bar can be used to refresh a page.

- Press the more button right of the tabs button to access more options like the ability to search a page or pin a page to your Start screen.

- If you go to Settings and scroll over to applications, you can delete your browsing history. Simply tap Internet Explorer where you can delete your history and change other options.

- Go to Maps on your Start screen to access the Maps application and plot directions, get your location and more.

- You can also choose to view traffic, an aerial view, etc.
