In this tutorial, we'll show you

how to use the Maps application

on your

Android device

. Maps is the default application that you'll be using if you want to

get directions from one place to another

,

locate a restaurant or gas station

, or just

figure out where you are

at the moment.

Show Notes

- Load up Maps on your Android smartphone and you'll have

instant access to directions

for wherever you want to go.

- For example, in the search bar, you can type "banks" to see what banks are in your area.

- Tapping on any of your results will let you see more information about it, including reviews, website information and more.

- Tap the list view to quickly see a list of results.

- If you tap the person icon, that means that you can go into

street view

and, if available, see what's actually on street level.

- From the settings menu, choose Layers to turn on various layers like traffic, terrain, latitude and more.

- You can also easily get directions for walking, biking or public transportation.
