- Access the keyboard by sliding the screen up.

- The keys on the Palm Pre's keyboard have a nice rubberized feel.

- Unlike the iPhone and BlackBerry smartphones, the Palm Pre doesn't have much in the way of auto-correction or auto-completion.

- To access secondary key functions or numbers, hold down the orange function key.

- When holding the function key, the on-screen cursor changes too.

- For less commonly used symbols, hit the Sym button to open the symbols pallet. Scroll through and tap on the character you wish to insert.

How to copy and paste on the Palm Pre:
- Hold down the orange function button and use your finger to position the cursor on the screen.

- Hold the Shift key and drag your finger to select text.

- Click on the menu, select edit and choose copy.

- Hold the orange function key and tap the screen where you want the cursor to go.

- Tap the menu, select edit and chose paste.

Palm Pre keyboard shortcuts:

- Copy: One finger on the gesture bar and hit C on the keyboard

- Paste: One finger on the gesture bar and hit V on the keyboard

- Cut: One finger on the gesture bar and hit X on the keyboard
