With tens, probably hundreds of thousands of tweets being sent every day, there's a lot of raw data for to search through if you're looking to find a specific topic. Twitter, apparently, agrees and so has a robust advanced search engine you can use to drill down and find just the info you're looking for.

- On the Twitter search page, click on the Advanced Search link.

- You can or exclude words, search hashtags, language and more.

- You can search for tweets to, from or about a person.

- Search for tweets originating from a given location.

- Search for tweets in a given date range.

- Search for tweets by positive or negative attitude or ones that ask a question.

- Select how many results you want to see on a page and whether or not to show links.
