Download Internet Explorer 8
and follow along with our tutorial series

- Web Slices can bring content to you instead of you having to track it down.

- At the Internet Explorer 8 Add Ons page you can find some cool Web Slices.

- In our example we picked the traffic updater.

- The green Web Slice graphic comes up in the corner. Just click on that.

- A dialog comes up asking if you want to add this Web Slice, in this case for monitoring traffic.

- Click Add to Favorites Bar and that's where it will appear.

- If you right-click on the item you can select Bold on Update. With Bold on Update selected, the next time there's an update the text of that Web Slice in your Favorites will become give a visual indication.
